PFRS, as we are known, is a small team of parents and friends, who not only raise funds but also actively promote and raise awareness of the school in the local community. We achieve this aim by providing activities and fun events for the children, the community and supporting school events.
Last year we held a Christmas Fair, Pancake afternoon, an Easter extravaganza, and a summer family BBQ. These events raised over £1,200 for the school.
We are a registered charity and all the money we raise at these events goes back to the school. This year money raised is going towards the Christmas pantomime and the funding of the new cooking equipment for the pupils.
We currently have 6 members on the committee and several regular volunteers but we are always looking for new members. Without members these events can’t take place. We are looking for any contribution you can offer. This might be in the form of skills, ideas, experience, and access to resources or just your time. Any help is always appreciated.
We usually meet twice a term, but if you can’t make the meetings we can add you to the email list so you can be kept informed of all activities.
